Died between 1900 and 1910.
From the published record of Brush Creek Cemetery: Son of Daniel H & Frederica (Birker) Brombeck. Married twice, first wife unknown; second wife Sarah A Bell. Civil War veteran, 39th Missouri Infantry.

George's Civil War grave marker spells his name Bornbeck.

George immigrated to the US in 1847, and came to Ralls County, in 1863.
--------------
George's first wife was Mary Ann Vrehman. They were married in 1851, and she died in 1867.

From the History of Ralls County published in 1895: The Biography is about George Bombeck, but mentions others of interest: "The first marriage of Mr. Bombeck took place in 1851 with Mary Vrehman, who was born in the Town of Neuss, Prussia, Germany, and who died February 16, 1867. April 7, 1870, our subject married Sarah A. Bell, who was born in Scott County, Ky., October 27, 1831, being a daughter of James and Susan (Green) Bell........"
---------------
On the 1850 census of St Louis, MO there is a Henry Bombeck, age 27, b. Germany. He is a shoemaker in the household of Chas Muchl. Based on later census data, identifying his occupation as shoemaker, it seems logical that this is George H Bombeck.
---------------
In 1860, George H Bombeck, age 36, b. Hess Kassel, and Ann M, age 30, b. Prussia, are in Hannibal, Marion Co., MO. George is listed as a shoe & boot maker. There is also a Daniel, age 66, also a shoe & boot maker, and several children, all but one probably the children of Daniel (George's father).
