Chico Enterprise-Record, December 24, 1956: "Albert Bond. Paradise -- Funeral services are pending at the Rose Chapel here for Albert A. Bond, 66, of Foster Road, who died this morning at the Feather River Sanitarium.

"Mr. Bond was born Nov. 8, 1890, in Ledoga, Colusa County, had been a Paradise resident since 1924. During World War I he served with the 26th Yankee Division. He was a member of the Paradise Rotary Club; Veterans of World War I, American Legion Post 259; and Paradise Grange 490.

"Mr. Bond is survived by his wife, Doris E. Bond, of Paradise; a son, Charles S. Bond, of Anderson; three stepdaughters; Mrs. Bertha L. Foster of Albany, Mrs. Ruth Clemens of Paradise, and Mrs. Myrtle Morris of Paradise; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Hurt of Covelo, and Mrs. Lillian Hagberg of Berkeley; one brother Edward Bond of Ukiah; and six grandchildren."
