On Sunday, April 24, 2016, Beryl A. Bonehill passed away after a short illness.

She was born in Blackpool, England on April 11, 1933. She was trained as a registered nurse in England including post graduate courses in Midwifery, health visiting, and Queen’s District Nursing. After coming to North America, she worked in those capacities in Ontario, Canada and Peace River Alberta. Following this, she worked for the state of Alaska, with the Eskimos. A short time later she and a friend bought Oak Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center where she was the Director of Nursing until her retirement.

She was an avid tennis fan and a member of El Dorado Racquet Club, where she played for many years.

She served on the board of Union County Animal Protection Society for 10 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to UCAPS of Union County, 1000 Sunset Rd., El Dorado, AR 71730.

Cremation services were entrusted to Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
