Jason Todd Bongo "MISKGOGWAN" which means Red Feather, 43, of Bemidji, MN, passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 at the Sanford Health Center in Fargo with his family by his side. He was born on August 6, 1967 in Minneapolis, MN to Jan (Bongo) Martin Salazar.

Jason attended school in Bemidji as a child, later received his high school GED and then went on to graduate from the Twin Cities OIC for business. He worked very hard and eventually owned his own roofing company. Jason was a very humble man that really liked to draw with his hands and later became very good at computer drawing as well. He loved the show "Gunsmoke"; so much so, that he owned the complete set, watched it everyday and would not allow anyone to call him while he was watching it. Jason's main goal in life was to make everyone he met smile.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, brother Quentin Roy and numerous aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his mother Jan Martin Salazar of Bemidji, son; Preston Beaulieu of Fargo, ND, daughter; Nicole Beaulieu of Bemidji, brothers; Justin Neadeau of Phoenix, AZ, Jesse Neadeau of Denver, CO and Ronald Gene (Michele) Martin, Jr. of Brooklyn Park, MN, sister; Carrie Bongo of Nogales, AZ, two grandchildren; Cedar and Curtis Beaulieu-Buckanaga, many other relatives and friends.

A wake service for Jason will begin at dusk, Monday, November 8, and continue until the 10:00 a.m. service on Tuesday, November 9, all of which will be held at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cass Lake with Lee Staples as the Spiritual Leader. Pallbearers for Jason will be Tim Stangel, Richard Geving, Henry (Winston) Day, Bob Aitkin, Paul Day and Wayne Smith. Interment will be held in Morgan Family Cemetery on Oak Point Road in Cass Lake following the service.
