Bonnie Bonventre, age 93, daughter of J.B. and Eva Mullis Joyner, who was born, January 15, 1923 in Lawrence County, Georgia passed away October 28, 2016 at her home in the care of her family in Jacksonville, Florida.

Bonnie was a strong person who worked hard most of her life. She strived to do the very best for her children and loved them dearly. When they hurt, she hurt; when they were happy, she was happy. Bonnie had a great sense of humor and laughed easily. She loved the beach and could be seen there frequently on her beach towel.

After retiring, she started creating beautiful flower arrangements and handmade jewelry. Later in life, she, she basically taught herself to paint and the results of this endeavor are truly outstanding. It was obvious to everyone around her that she was an extremely gifted artisan.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; John B. Joyner and Eva Mullis Joyner and sisters; Christine Estes, Doris Williams and Sybel Bellflower.

She is survived by; her children Frank (Betty) Bonventre, Barbara (Neal) Keller, Darlene Wells; and 6 grandchildren.

The family will receive guests for a Visitation 5 to 7PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 10AM Thursday November 3, 2016 in Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Ann Greenwood officiating.

Interment to follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
