Mrs. Rachel H. Allen died at Hartford City Tuesday, aged 81 years. She was the widow of John P. Allen, and was formerly a resident of this place. Mrs. Allen was the mother of Mrs. N. J. Mendenhall, at whose home she died; Rev. C. B. Allen, of Denver; Mrs. Alice Pfaff of Noblesville; and Mrs. Albert Brown of Chicago, and was a sister of Mrs. B. B. Cheshire, of Washington, D. C.; Dr. R. G. Boone, of Cincinnati; Mrs. Shelley, of New Castle, and Samson and J. C. Boone, of this city. Funeral services will be held at the South Eighth Street Friends' church Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment at Earlham cemetery
