95; Dies in H'burg
Freda Baker House, 95, of Carrier Mills, formerly of Fairfield, died at 5:56 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Harrisburg Medical Center, Harrisburg.
Retired Teacher
She was a retired elementary school teacher at Northside Grade School.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at North Side Baptist Church in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Friday evening from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Freda was born in Sims, August 20, 1916, to Ed and Bessie DeSelms Borah. She married Olen Weldon Baker who preceded her in death March 24, 1980. She later married Robert House who preceded her in death July of 2006.
She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Eastern Star, North Side Baptist Church in Fairfield.
Survivors
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah (Gary) Puckett of Kennewick, Wash.; a son, Larry O. (Joyce) Baker of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, a sister, Mary Krock of Evansville, Ind.; and a brother, John Borah of Port Angeles, Wash.
Preceding her in death were her parents and husbands.
Memorials may be made to North Side Baptist Church.
