Carolina M. Borromeo Born November 10, 1921, passed away in San Francisco on May 17, 2010. Carolina was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Mario F. Borromeo, in 2002, and was the cherished mother of twelve children and the adored grandmother of fifteen. Carolina was born in the city of Naga, Cebu (Philippines), and emigrated to the United States in 1958. She had a varied career as an educator, school counselor, and librarian. Her career path included work at Presentation High School, SF State University, and John Adams Adult School. A devout Catholic and passionate volunteer, she was recognized by Catholic Charities for her work with the aged. Carolina volunteered as a school tutor, bible studies leader, eucharistic minister, food donor for the homeless, and was also a lifetime blood donor. Carolina was a parishioner of Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, and in recent years, Saint Thomas More Church. A lifelong fitness enthusiast, she loved swimming and walking.
