Former Shawnee resident Juanita L. Allison died Saturday in Midwest City. She was 70.
Services will be 4 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Smith and Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel. Her casket will be open at the funeral home until 2:30 p.m. Monday and will not be opened before or after the services at the church.
Mrs. Allison was born Jan. 27, 1928, in Hoffman, Okla., to Clyde and Daisy (Gilbreath) Boss. She married James H. "Jimmy" Allison on Aug. 27, 1945, in Okmulgee.
She graduated from Preston High School. She was employed as director of prayer ministry for Immanuel Baptist Church for 17 years and retired two years ago. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Midwest City and was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She had lived in Shawnee since 1959.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara L. and Roger K. Burns, Oklahoma City; son and daughter-in-law, James Richard and Nikki Allison , Midwest City; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Clyde Boss, Austin, Texas; Jimmy Boss, Colbert, Wash.; David Boss, Fulton, Mo.; sister, Barbara Hale, Plainview, Texas; and many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, on July 17, 1992.
