WILLISTON, VT. - Madeleine (Bourdon) Angier, age 84, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day 2011 at her home.

Madeleine was born on June 26th 1927 in Pittsford, Vt., she was the daughter of Ernest and Juliette (Larocque) Bourdon.

Before marriage, she worked at Middlebury College and also in Montpelier for the State of Vermont.

She married John "Francis" Francis Angier on January 4th 1947 at the St. Mary's Church in Middlebury, Vermont.

Madeleine and Francis lived for 40 years on their farm in Addison, Vt. where they raised five sons.

They later lived in the mountains of western North Carolina, on the Sun-Coast of Florida, in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and, for the last nine years, in Williston, Vt.

With her warm and gracious demeanor, Madeleine made many, many friends while accompanying her husband on military assignments earlier in their marriage and later during her retirement years, when they traveled in their motor home throughout the country.

Madeleine was predeceased by her parents, and two sisters; Ange-Aimee Angier, who was married to Francis' late brother; Carl Angier, and Marie (Don) Kenyon.
