Albert J. Bourdon, 59, of 16 Richards Street, an Alcoa employee, died in Massena Memorial Hospital at 7:15 o'clock Friday night, June 24, 1974.
He was admitted to the hospital at 10:50 that morning but had been hospitalized several times during the past months.
Surviving are his wife; one step-son, Charles Romigh, Massena; one grandchild; his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Emile Bourdon, Cornwall; one sister, Mrs. Jerry (Bernadette) Podvin, Cape Vincent; three brothers, Emilien Bourdon, Aylmer, Ontario, Lucien Bourdon, Ottawa, and Paul Bourdon, Massena.
Mr. Bourdon was born at St. Albert, Ontario, November 9, 1914, a son of Emile Bourdon and the late Elizabeth Laplante Bourdon. He attended schools in Casselman and Cornwall, Ontario and moved to Watertown from Canada in 1940. He worked on the railroad there four years and then came to Massena to work at Massena Operations, Alcoa.
He served in both Canadian and American armies in World War II.
He became a member of the Alcoa 25 Year Club in April 1972.
He and the former Rose Rafter were married January 19, 1956 in the First Methodist Church.
