Irene Beatrice ''Nanny'' Bowden of the 900 block of Hanson Ave., died April 17, 2000, in her residence.

Born in Prince George County, Va., she was a homemaker and the widow of Richard V. Bowden Sr.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Helen Bailey.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Graves Funeral Home by the Rev. T. McNair. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the family at the residence.
