Winifred Edith Bowdler Boone, Lee's Summit, MO, died Wednesday, June 28, 1995, at Lee's Summit Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 3, at Langsford-Cox Chapel; burial in Memori - al Park Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Friends may call 9-11 a.m. Monday, at the Chapel.

Mrs. Boone was born in London, England, the daughter of Emma Martha and Robert Arthur Bowdler. She came to the United States at the age of 17. She married Eugene T. Boone on Mother's Day, 1926, and together they had five children. Mrs. Boone was a member of Unity Church. She was a member of the Greater K.C. Art Association and the Independence Art Association. She was a well known artist in the K.C. area. She was a Gray Lady for Children's Mercy Hospital and a volunteer for the Amer ican Red Cross. She was a Camp Fire Girl's Leader. But most of all she was our beloved Mother and Grand - mother. She is preceded in death by her husband ''Dan''; her parents; two sons-in-law, Steve and Robert; and two sisters, Rose and Clara.

Survivors include her children, Anne and Norman Bohl, David and Sue Boone, Steve and Louise Boone, all of Lee's Summit; Belle Thompson Salt Lake City, Utah; and Gene and Jack Walker, Mission, KS; a very special granddaughter, Laurel Ann Bohl, who took loving care of grandmother for the last year of her life. She had 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. ''You are the Wind Beneath Our Wings''.
