George J. Bowers of Middlefield Centre, who has been sick for quite a long time, died on the 17th, aged 74 years. The funeral was held at his late home on Saturday. The methodist minister conducted the funeral services, assisted by the Rev. A.L. Greene. Interment at Middlefield Centre. Mr. Bowers leaves a wife and three children. Those attending his funeral from out of town were Conrad Vowers of Freys Bush, his brother, and Mrs. Webb, a sister living in the town of Roseboom, a daughter, Mrs. Clyde of Cherry Valley and Peter Bowers, a brother living in this town.
