BALSAMO, Lyndsay Ann Bowie, formerly of Alexandria, Va., passed away on Monday, April 14, 2008, in Richmond, Va., following a courageous battle with Melanoma. She was born on September 16, 1960, the daughter of Babs Bowie and the late Donald W. Bowie. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Jimmy Balsamo; and her daughters, Caleigh and Eliza. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Erica and Jimmy Murphy; and her niece, Caitlin; as well as other devoted family members. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Christ Church Episcopal, 5000 Pouncey Tract Road, Glen Allen, Va. A celebratory service honoring Lyndsay will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, at Christ Church Episcopal. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made for Melanoma research in memory of Lyndsay or to Christ Church Episcopal, 5000 Pouncey Tract Rd., Glen Allen, Va. 23059.
