Shirley Rodgers Bowie, age 79, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family and arrived in Heaven on Sunday, January 5, 2014. She is survived by three loving daughters; Annette M. Williams, LeTricia Bowie-Richardson, both of Birmingham, AL and Debbie (Ray Perry) Bowie of Pittsburgh, PA; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Sixth Avenue Baptist Church, Rev. John L. Cantelow, III, officiating. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Smith & Gaston Southside directing.
