Obituary for David Lee Bowman, Jr.

David Lee Bowman, Jr., 48, passed away June 19, 2016. He was born December 4, 1967 in Savannah, GA. He played football for and graduated from Georgia Tech University. He forever remained a zealous Yellow Jackets fan. David's faith was admirable and inspiring. Everything he did, he did for Jesus. He served the Lord through philanthropic organizations such as Su Casa, Advance Memphis and Streets Ministry. David has always served others since a young age. He always showed the love of Christ to everyone he encountered. He passionately served at and attended Fellowship Memphis Church where he was a member. David loved his children profoundly and in spite of a busy work schedule, always made time to coach their teams and attend their practices and games. David was the owner of Mid-South Medical and Mobility. He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Kellee Bowman; children, Katie Lieske (Michael), Bryan Holderbaugh, Hannah Grace Bowman, David Andrew Bowman, Hunter McClellan Bowman, and a foster daughter; parents, Lillie and David L. Bowman, Sr.; sister, Allison Lester (Bart); and a Lieske grandchild-to-be. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 23 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 24 at Second Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
