COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Arintha May Bowman Allen, 85, of Laguna Niguel, Calif., formerly of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, from the chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bowman died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at her residence.
She was born April 10, 1920, in Jackson County to the late William Bethel and Belle Carrington Bowman.
Mrs. Bowman was a member of Mission Viejo, Calif., Church of Christ.
Her family includes a son, John Allen of Macomb Township, Mich.; two daughters and sonsinlaw, Carrol and Dennis Rippetoe of Rochester Hills, Mich., and Sandra and Charles Harris of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; two sisters, June Hammerstein and Dorothy Mason, both of Cookeville; 11 grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Winnell Allen, and her youngest daughter, Janice Norene Ullmann.
