Her family said she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by a son, John Agee Jr. and his wife, Evelyn, of Lake Lure, N.C.; her daughter, Nola Stanley of Raleigh; and eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Agee was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Agee Sr., who died April 30, 2002.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
The family requests that memorials be in the form of donations to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary's Street, 4th Floor, Raleigh, NC 27605.
Mitchell Funeral Home in Raleigh is handling the arrangements.
