Mrs. Madge Boydston Bell of 2803 Monroe Street, a residence of Columbia for the past 20 years, died at 8:15 yesterday morning at the Columbia Hospital following a brief illness.
Born august 7, 1904, in Charlton, Iowa, she was the daughter of Mrs. Bessie B. Boydston, now of Columbia, and the late Will D. Boydston.
She was the widow of Samuel J. Bell Jr., who died in 1942, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her mother, a son, Samuel J. Bell, III of Columbia, an officer candidate at Fort Riley, Kan., and a brother, Charles E. Boydston of Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services willk be conducted at 11 o'clock this morning from Dunbar Funeral Home. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The Rev. James W. Jackson, her pastor
will officiate.
Active pallbearers will be C. G. Hatcher, G. E. Edenfield, David S. Yates III, L. A. Marsha, Van D. Lott and John V. Feagin.
