Mary B. Ahrens of Coatesville
Mary B. Ahrens, 93, of Coatesville died Monday, February 21 2011, after a brief stay, at the Neighborhood Inpatient Unit, West Chester. She had resided in her home, since 1962 until her passing.
She was the wife of William D. Ahrens, who preceded her in death in 1983.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Cora Elliott Boyer.
Mary was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She volunteered at the Brandywine Hospital and was a member of the Caln Civic Club.
Her faithful dog, "Pug" died this past Saturday.
Surviving her is a son, William B. Ahrens, husband of Bella Ann; a daughter, MaryLou Rubincam, wife of Jerry; a sister, Margaret Greiner; four grandchildren, Donna Groce, Dean Boninu and Steve and Mike Ahrens; 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, February 25, at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 107 S. 17th Avenue, Coatesville. Family and friends may call at the church beginning at 9 a.m.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
In her memory, contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd at the above address.
