Mrs. Beulah Hale “Boots” Barlow, 101, found peace and everlasting happiness with her Lord on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 2 pm in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel in Greenville with visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.

She was born in Ahoskie, NC on May 5, 1914 to Jesse Bozeman and Gertrude Scott Bozeman and moved to Greenville, NC in 1936. Boots was the oldest living member of the The Memorial Baptist Church where she was a longtime member of the Torchbearers Sunday School Class. For seventeen years she enjoyed working as a teacher’s assistant for one of the first classes for special needs children at Wahl-Coates Elementary School.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Thurman Hale; second husband, Robert L. Barlow; two sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by her: son, James T. Hale, Jr. and wife, Sandra, of Wendell; grandchildren, Angela Hale Briggs of Raleigh, James T. Hale, III and wife, Kim, of Apex and
Robert T. Hale and wife, Becki, of Raleigh; five great-grandchildren, Bradley Briggs, Emma Hale, Miles Hale, Kendall Hale and Jay Hale; several great nieces and nephews and one special great-niece, Ann Scott Douberly.
