Ruth Braden Aschbacher, 94, of Yellow Springs, died Sunday June 16, 2013 in her residence. She was born April 22, 1919 in Louisville, Kentucky. She retired from Vernay Laboratories in Yellow Springs in 1984 after thirty-one years. She served as President of the Vernay Foundation and was a member of the Vernay Board of Directors. She was a member of the Dayton Opera Guild and served as a Trustee of the Dayton Opera Association. She was also a member of the Engineers Club of Dayton and the Woman's Club of Dayton. She is survived by her nieces and nephews and sons of Serge Vernet and Lindsey Stelwaggon; Colin, Braden and Cade. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Aschbacher in 1986. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday June 22, 2013 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Yellow Springs. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Cemetery, Louisville, Kentucky. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Sister Visitor Center, 2235 West Market Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40212.
