Mrs. Lou Ella Ahart, 59, Second Baptist Member

The funeral for Mrs. Lou Ella Ahart, 59, 426 Third St., S.W., who died of complications Tuesday, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Second Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at Sibley Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Ahart was born Dec. 12, 1926, in Parma, Mo., the daughter of Charlie and Flora Patterson Braden.

A resident here 39 years, she was a member of Second Baptist Church, SCOPE and Senior Citizens Group of Rebecca Williams Community Center. She had enjoyed sewing.

Survivors include her husband, Lonnie L. Ahart; three stepdaughters, Ruby Chenault of Indianapolis, Ind., Melvina Ahart of East St. Louis, Ill., Stella Burns of Collinsville, Ill.; two stepsons, Lonnie Jr. of Edwardsville, Ill., Robert of East St. Louis; two sisters, Catherine Braden of St. Louis, Mo., Jean Braden of San Diego, Calif., and 26 grandchildren. A daughter preceded her in death.
