Mrs Wm I. Allen
Mrs. Bessie Jane Allen, 56 years old, wife of Wm I. Allen, died at the Bothwell hospital on March 21, 1948.
Mrs. Allen was born near Zora, Missouri December 19, 1891, the daughters of A.B. and Margaret Braden. She was married at Versailles in 1911 to William Ira Allen. Six children were born to this union:Mrs. Mildred J. Banks, Hannibal; Mrs.Margaret L. Cranfield, Sedalia; Grant L. Allen, Marshall;v Wm Ira Jr.,Hughesville; Harold D. and Dorothy Evelyn of the home and ten grandchildren. Also surviving are six brothers:Henry,Tom,Oscar,Rick,Gilford and Chester. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death. She was a member of the Shiloh Christian church in Morgan County.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the McLaughlin chapel with Rev. O.F. Boyd officiating. Pallbearers will be John Whitfield, Clarence Evans, Dewart Edwards,Ernest Edwards,Lewis Benz,Fritz Hintz. Interment will be in the Dresden Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Jane Allen, 56 years old wife of William I. Allen of Dresden, who died at the Bothwell hospital Sunday were held this afternoon at the McLaughlin funeral chapel with Rev. O.F. Boyd officiating.
Pallbearers were John Whitfield, Clarence Evans,Dewart Edwards,Ernest Edwards,Lewis Benz,Fritz Hintz. Mrs. M.O. Stevens and Mrs. Miles Rhodes accompanied by Mrs. Mae Moser, sang "Sweet Peace" and "Will the Circle be Unbroken".
Interment was in the Dresden Cemetery.
