The second son of John and Mary E. (Woodward) Braden, Albert was born in Noble township of Shelby Co., IN where his father was a prominent farmer.

After his marriage to Ettie Kelley, 17 Mar 1881 in Shelby Co., the Bradens relocated near Milford, Decatur Co., IN. The couple parented two children; a son, Roy, who died in infancy and a daughter.

Albert was a member of the Milford Masonic Lodge. He died, tragically, at a young age of "brain fever."
