Saturday afternoon about 2 o'clock occurred the death of Alba H. Braden at the home of his brother-in-law, Col. J.G. Clark, on East Clinton Street. His death was due to paresis and nervous prostration. The deceased was a little past sixty years of age and was born near Jefferson. The most of his life was spent in Crawfordsville and Lafayette but he was also well known here. He never married. His health had been very poor for the last few years and he had retired from business, being well off financially. He came here last November and had since made his home with his sister, Mrs. Clark. Mrs. W. W. Garrott is also a sister of the deceased. There was short prayer services at the residence Tuesday morning after which the body was shipped to Lafayette and the funeral services held in the Episcopal church."
