"Bertha A. "Bertie" Braden, 72 of Lake Station, IN, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 1999. Born in Canton, Illinois, and resided in the Lake County area for 44 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Leo Braden and two sons, Billy Paul Mastin and Leo Braden, Jr. Survived by two sons, Mark (Donna) Braden of Lake Station and Barry (Debbie) Braden of Griffith; two daughters, Sue (Roy) Minder of Lake Station and Bonnie (Donald) Malley of Sauk Village, IL; step-daughter, Sherrill (Jack) Conklin of Canton, IL; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Friday from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. at the Rendina Funeral Home, 5100 Cleveland St., Merrillville. Funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday from the chapel with Rev. Samuel Abbott officiating. Burial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville.
