Wagoneer Lester M. Brady
Served with Co.B 5th Ammo Train U.S.Army during WW1 of 1917-18. Beloved husband of Oral K. Brady 1902-84. He died in Mina NV in Jan. of 1969 at the age of 69.Lester was born at home in Salt Lake City in 1899 to Guy Waldon & Mary Jane PRICE Brady. They moved to Nevada when he was about 10 years old. Lester had 2 sisters; Lillian Terry (1903-1972), Bessie Aldrich (1905-1994), 1 step-sister; Elvira Davis (1887-1932)and 4 step-brothers; Charles Davis (1884-?), Lorenzo Davis (1890- 1923), Cecil Davis(1892-?) and Edwell Davis (1896-?).
Lester married Oral Katherine Knowles(1902-1982) on Dec. 24, 1919 in Kingman, Arizona. They had 2 daughters; Rose Mary Aldrich (1920-2016) of Petaluma, CA and Jeanne Claire Graham/Pello (1923-2019) of Grassvalley, CA.
Lester enlisted in the army in Mar. 1918 and served as a Wagoneer with the Company B 5th Ammunition Train. He was also drafted in 1942 at age 42 to serve in WWII .
Lester worked most of his life in the mining industry and lived in various locations on the west coast. He lived out his last years in Luning, Nevada with his wife Oral. Lester had 5 Grand-children and 7 Great Grandchildren.
