At three o'clock this morning, Mrs. Mary A. Brashear, wife of N.R. Brashear, of East Ninth avenue, for many years a resident of Tarentum, died after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Brashear was in her seventieth year. For some months she had been in frail health, but had been confined to her bed for only four weeks. Besides her husband, seven children survive, they are: Joseph, Mrs. Rachel Atkinson, Albert W. and Andrew H., of Tarentum; Mrs. R. R. Nicholas, of Brackenridge; Mrs. T.C. Cunningham of Pittsburgh; and Mrs. Benjamin Woffington, of Natrona. Mrs. Brashear is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. J.W. Schwabe, of Wood street, and Mrs. Ellen Moore, of New Brighton, and one brother, Andrew J. Gibson, of Valencia, Pa. The deceased was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church, and until failing health prevented, was always a regular attendant at its services. The time of the funeral has not yet been decided, but will be announced later.
