Maxine Clarice Agan, 81, Independence, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2006 at the Regency Care Center. Services were held 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Burial in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association. Mrs. Agan was born on April 11, 1925 to Andrew and Estella (Edwards) Brasher in Sarcoxie, MO. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking, which she was well known for. She was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church where she had been very active in Sunday School classes. Mrs. Agan was preceded in death by her husband Willard Loyd Agan in 2005. She is sursvived by two sons, Frank and wife Betty of Salisbury, NC, Dennis and wife Betty of Lenexa, KS; two daughter, Janet and husband Larry of Independence, MO and Rhonda McHenry of Blue Springs, MO. One brother, Everett Brasher of N. Kansas City, MO and one sister, Helen Stotts of Springfield, MO. Eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
