Mrs. Blakeney was a very strong Christian Lady. She spent many hours reading her Bible and singing Christian hymns. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crocheting. She also enjoyed fishing and enjoyed other outdoor activities. Growing flowers was one of her favorite hobbies.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Mildred Chappell Braxton; son, Eddie Wilson; brother, Edmond Braxton and sister, Athela Braxton.
Survivors include her husband, Donald R. Blakeney, Jackson, MS; daughter, Rebecca L. Harrison (Greg), Jacksonville, FL; sons Larry Joe Blakeney, Mize, MS and Ray Blakeney (Susan), Taylorsville, MS; sister, Helen Eady, Pearl, MS; grandchildren, Brandon Barker, Jacksonville, FL, Kirk Harrison, Jacksonville, FL, Amanda Sills, Pearl, MS, Kody Sills, Taylorsville, MS, Jessica Blakeney, Taylorsville, MS, Christopher Blakeney, Taylorsville, MS, Riley Wilson (Liz), Hattiesburg, MS, Amy Dickinson, Clinton, MS, Beth Campbell, Timmy Ray Blakeney, Mize, MS, and eight great grandchildren.
