Martha Orean Akrie, 75 of Lanexa, VA, went home to be with the Lord on December 21st, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Braxton and three siblings.
Martha is survived by her husband of 57 years, Roy L. Akrie, Sr., one devoted daughter, Wanda Feltus; four sons, Roy Ill (Sylvia), Jeffrey (Sheila), Michael (Mary) and Todd (Yvonne); mother, Marcella Braxton; five sisters, Frances Smith (Donald), Rose Williams, Carolyn Crewe, Barbara Taylor, and Angela Jones (Dwight); one brother, William Braxton, Sr. (Helen); ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Remains rest at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA, where family will receive friends on 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 27,2O13. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 28th, 2013 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Lanexa, VA with Rev. Joseph Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
