Colleen Bremen, 57, of Effort passed away on Wednesday, August 26 in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.

She was the wife of John Bremen. They had observed their 36th wedding anniversary on August 18.

Born in Yonkers, NY, she was a daughter of the late Roger and Regina (Rubien) Jones.

Colleen was a school bus driver in the Pleasant Valley School District for the past sixteen years. She was also the union shop steward. Colleen was a wonderful wife and mother and a dear friend to many.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, John Bremen IV of Alexandria, VA, John Donley in Germany and Tim Bremen of Huntington Beach, CA; a daughter, Jamie Bremen of Salina, KS; a sister, Jean Marie McSpedon of Barnegat, NJ and a brother, Robert McSpedon of Yonkers, NY.

A visitation will be held on both Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville. Private cremation will take place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
