Norma Jean Andrews, 77, of Scammon, died at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the Cornerstone Village at Pittsburg, Kansas.
She was born June 20, 1931 at West Mineral, Kansas to David A. and Ada E. Lair Brenner.
She attended Miriam country school and graduated from West Mineral High School.
On March 6, 1965, she married Billy Lee Andrews at Pittsburg. He survives.
Norma was a homemaker. She also baby sit and worked at Berry's Garment Factory.
Membership was held in the First Presbyterian Church in Scammon and the Ladies Aide.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Raymond Willard Andrews of Webb City, MO; a daughter, Patricia Lynn Woods and husband, Jeff of Chicopee; two sisters, Wilma Stenberg of Webb City, MO and Evelyn Miller of Pittsburg; two granddaughters, Ashley Caldwell and Morgan Woods; three grandsons, Zachary, Nathan and Aaron Woods; and a great-grandson, Gavin Caldwell.
She was preceded in death by her father in May 1975 and her mother in October 1985.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at the Brenner Mortuary with Rev. Ollie Heth officiating. Burial will be in the Hosey Hill Cemetery, west of Weir, KS. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday.
Friends may also call at the home of her daughter, Patricia Woods, 112 W. Alberty, Chicopee. The family suggests memorials to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund. Friends may also sign the register book and leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com.
