"Abe" was born in Washington Twp., Indiana Co., PA, the son of James A. Brewer and Sarah Jane Varner. He married "Jennie" Hannah Jane Miller ca. 1884. She died in 1896. He remarried "Nannie" Nancy Catherine (Clawson) Mitchell on October 19, 1897 in Indiana, Indiana Co., PA. He died at his home in Marchand (N. Mahoning Twp.), Indiana Co., PA.

Abraham and Jennie were the parents of five children:
1. Ernest Cleveland Brewer
2. William Earl Brewer
3. "Mollie" Mary Elizabeth (Brewer) Potts Hullihen McGary
4. Mae (Brewer) Horvat Swiderski
5. Clara Belle (Brewer) Potts

Abraham and Nannie were the parents of two children:
1. Paul Luther Brewer
2. James Brewer
