Funeral services for Mrs. Frank E Briggs, 87, of 1318 N Kellogg St, who died unexpectedly Friday morning in Elmhurst (DuPage County) Hospital, will be held Monday at 10AM in the Maquon Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Maquon Cemetery.
Friends may call here at the Hinchliff and Wilson Funeral Home Sunday afternoon and evening. The casket will be opened at the church Monday from 9AM to 10AM.
Mrs. Briggs had been visiting in Elmhurst at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Faith Jenkins. Her death was attributed to a heart ailment.
The former Miss Clara E Ouderkirk, Mrs. Briggs was born near Maquon October 7, 1866. She was married to Mr. Briggs in Maquon October 5, 1887.
Mrs. Briggs was a member of the Maquon Methodist Church and the DAR.
Besides her husband and daughter, she is survived by a son, Paul H Briggs of Galesburg; a sister, Miss Nora Ouderkirk of Los Angeles, CA, and five grandchildren.
