July 24, 1915 - May 30, 2007 Chester/Lake Almanor resident Edna Anna Brinkman peacefully passed from this life Wednesday evening, May 30th, 2007, at the Long Term Care Unit of Seneca Health Care District, located in Chester. Born July 24th, 1915, to San Francisco natives Louis and Anna (Weinochl) Reiche in San Francisco, where she was also raised and educated. Following her high school graduation she met a handsome young man named Herman Frederick Brinkman and as their love blossomed for each other they were united in matrimony March 28th, 1937. To this loving union, three sons and a daughter were born. The newlyweds relocated to Vallejo, where Edna resided until moving to the Lake Almanor area 23 years ago. While residing in Vallejo, Edna was active with the Vallejo Yacht Club, where her husband served as commodore, was a member of the Vallejo Chapter of I.O.K.A. Council of Pocahontas for over 50 years, enjoyed bowling and dancing, while also finding great pleasure socializing with the folks at Smith Ranch. Edna leaves in passing her sons and daughters-in-law, Herman L. Brinkman of Benicia, Richard J. Brinkman and wife Janice of Lake Almanor, Robert E. Brinkman and wife Linda of Vallejo; her daughter and son-in-law, Diane C. Imhoff and husband Richard of Lake Almanor; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She joins in her eternal home her husband Herman, who passed from this life in 1972, one sister, one grandchild, one great-grandchild and daughter-in-law Katie. A celebration of Edna's life will be held at noon on Monday, June 4th, 2007, at the cryptside in Sunrise Memorial Park, Vallejo.
