Katherine L. Brisbin Bismarck went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2004 in Flagstaff, Ariz. She was born July 3, 1918 to William and Florence Brisbin and spent most of her life in an around Plainfield, Ill.
Mrs. Bismarck and her husband, Calvin, moved to Fountain Hills in 1993. Most recently they made their home in White Mountain Lakes, Ariz. She was a member of the Pansy Chapter Eastern Star and the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Bismarck was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Margaret (Howard) Arnold, her nephew, Charles Arnold, and her former husband, Robert J. Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Calvin Bismarck; her daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia Kay (Richard) Carlson, Maryann (Carl) Olen, Jean Louise (Larry) Grommon; and a step-daughter, Kara Thurbush; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one nephew. Also surviving are her good friends Bill and Helen Quigley and Ken and Donna Kissel, whom she considered to be part of the family.
Visitation for Mrs. Bismarck will be held Friday, June 18 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary, 12065 Saguaro Blvd. Fountain Hills. Funeral services will follow immediately at 11 a.m. at the mortuary.
