Phyllis Ann Barrett, 81, of Anderson, passed away Dec. 30, 2010, at Community Hospital Anderson.

She was born Feb. 2, 1929, in Anderson, the daughter of Walter and Margaret (Burgraf) Broderick. She was a lifelong Anderson resident and was co-founder of Redbud Estates.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chapter 1686 of AARP and Gamma Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

She is survived by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Monica and Bill Mehling of Anderson; sister-in-law, Helen Johnston of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews, including, Regina Musick.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Barrett; brothers, Walt Broderick and Joe Broderick; sister-in-law, Dorothy Broderick; and brother-in-law, John Johnston.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1115 Pearl St., Anderson, with Father Robert Williams officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
