Broderick, Thomas A. 06/08/1917 ~ 12/26/2014 ENCINITAS -- Thomas A. Broderick, 97. Born 6-8-17 in Chicago, IL. Died 12-26-14 in Encinitas, CA. Survived by his wife of 67 years, Ethel, son Steve (Susan), and grandson Michael of Pearland, TX, brother Paul (Skip) of Chandler, AZ, and sister Marion of Louisville, KY. Served in US Army Air Corp from 11-23-40 to 5-18-45. Staff Sargeant and P-40 fighter mechanic stationed at Pearl Harbor on 12-7-41 and served 47 months overseas in New Guinea and the Central Pacific as a P-38 fighter maintenance crew chief receiving four Bronze Stars and many Service Ribbons.Worked 40 years as a salesman selling office equipment in Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois. Retired in 1986 with his wife in Encinitas. Memorial Service will be at 1:30 p.m, 1-30-15, in the Miramar National Cemetery shelter, San Diego, CA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
