Former Valparaiso resident Grace Bauer, 77 of LaPorte, died Tuesday. Born Dec. 22, 1907 in Boone Grove, she was the daughter of Franklin and Harriet Brody. Surviving are three daughters, Florence Fetla and Beverly Piornack of Valparaiso and Frances Fitzgerald of Westville, nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and a sister, Frances Bauer of Valparaiso. She was predeceased by her husband Herman B Bauer. Services will be at 2 P.M. Friday at Dykes Funeral Home.The Rev William Kaster will officiate, burial in Graceland Cemetery with Eagles Auxiliary services. Memorials to the Heart Fund. She was past president of the Eagles Auxiliary in Valparaiso and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of LaPorte.
