Pte. CECIL JOHN BROMHEAD,
Of Great Gonerby
Mr. and Mrs. Bromhead, of Great Gonerby, have this week been informed of the death, on Oct. 13th, of their youngest son. Pte. Cecil John (Cis) Bromhead, ¼th Lincolnshire Regiment (T.F.). He enlisted soon after the outbreak of the war, and went out with one of the last drafts. He was very popular with his mates, and took great interest in active sports. For many years he was an esteemed member of the Church choir. In civil life he was employed at Messrs. R. Hornsby and Sons. During the winter evenings, he attended Miss Barker's village toy making class, where he proved himself very useful. Much sympathy is felt with his parents, as they had previously been bereaved of their eldest boy. Pte. William Bromhead, 2nd Lincolns, who lost his live at Neuve Chapelle, on the 10th March last. The remaining brother, Herbert, has recently joined the "Royal Warwicks." The example of these three brothers is an excellent tribute to British patriotism.
