Death Summons Mrs. D.A. Avery
Early Creighton Resident

Mrs. D.A. Avery, early Creighton resident, passed away peacefully at her home north of town on Sunday at 1:30 a.m. She was taken ill on January 13 with the flu and other complications developed, which resulted in her death.

Mrs. Avery was bedfast during the greater part of that period. Previous to that time, she had been a sufferer of neuritis for a number of years and it was difficult for her to get around, but she bore her sufferings cheerfully.

One of her greatest delights was to receive visitors and she was always happy to have them come to her home. She was a lady of exceptional ability, who for years conducted the affairs their farm successfully.

Early in life, Mrs. Avery was affiliated with the Baptist church.

Eunice Bremley(sp) was born at Griswald, Conn. on January 19, 1852 and died on Sunday, February 9, 1941 at the age of 89 years and 21 days. She spent her youth in Griswald.

On November 17, 1873 she was united in wedlock to D.A. Avery and she and her husband came to Nebraska. They filed on a homestead, their present farm north of Creighton and this has been her home for nearly 63 years.

Two daughters and two sons were born to this union. Her husband died November 25, 1923 and a son, Henry, preceded her to the other world in 1931.

Here for the funeral are Mr. and Mrs. George Rich and daughters, Mrs. _. M. Green of St. Joe, Mo. and Mrs. R.J. Greenwell of Omaha arrived on Sunday and Monday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. M.O. Cheney were expected to come Wednesday afternoon from Los Angeles, Calif. for the services.
