Donna was born on April 22, 1952, to Hugh and Gay Bronson in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She graduated from the University of Utah in 1974 with a BA, majoring in Music Education. Donna worked for ITT Hartford from 1974 to 1992.
In 1991 she married Gerald G. Allen in the Salt Lake City temple, and lived in Denver, Colorado. She took on his two previous children, Dawn and Chris Allen, as her own. In 1992 she gave birth to a daughter, Sarah Allen. In 2001 they moved to Meridian, Idaho, where she lived for the remainder of her life.
Donna loved music, both teaching and performing. She sang with Pro Musica in Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as the Colorado Mormon Chorale in Denver, Colorado. She contributed her voice to Hymns of Thanksgiving in Boise, Idaho.
Donna was a sweet and kind woman. Her life's desire was to have everyone around her receive what their heart desired.
She was a member of Toastmasters International, Pro Musica of Salt Lake City, Colorado Mormon Chorale of Denver, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Donna is survived by her husband, Gerald G. Allen; children: Sarah Elizabeth Allen, Christopher Scott Allen, Dawn Noel (Robert) Bevan; two grandchildren: Emma and DeAnne Bevan; and siblings: Reed Bronson, Janette Harvey, Julie Ford and LeAnne Bronson.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Bronson; and sisters: Mary Bronson and Betty Bronson.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Sherbrooke Ward, 1950 S. Locust Grove in Meridian, Idaho.
Interment will follow the service at Morris Hill Cemetery in Boise.
