Word has been received here of the death of former Columbus resident Betsey Brooke Anderson, 77, of Delray Beach, Fla. She died Wednesday after an extended illness.

Mrs. Anderson had been a member of First Presbyterian Church, Kappa Sorority and Harrison Lake Country Club. She served as a Gray Lady at Camp Atterbury during the Korean War.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at West Tisbury Congregational Church, Martha's Vineyard Island, Mass. Burial will be at Abel's Hill Cemetery in Chilmark, Mass. Funeral arrangements were made by Sylvia, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home in Vineyard Haven, Mass.

Mrs. Anderson was born in 1908 in Williamsburg, Pa., the daughter of Frank Ernest and Mary Flickenger Brooke. She attended Seiler Schools in Harrisburg, Pa., and graduated from Wellesley College in 1930.

Survivors include a son, Peter S. Anderson of Haverford, Pa.; a daughter, Judith B. Anderson of Greenwich, Conn., and two grandchildren.
