Dorothy B. Appling Barth of New Braunfels died Tuesday, Dec. 25, at the age of 72.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 28, at 2 p.m. at Zoeller Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Hinkhouse as officiant. Interment will follow in the Appling Family Cemetery in Luling.
Survivors include her mother, Mae Ross Brooks of Luling; daughters, Nelda N. Marion and husband George D. of Alvin and Dee Perez of New Braunfels; stepdaughter, Ingrid Paris of San Antonio; stepsons, Stan- Icy Barth of Dallas, Ron Barth of Houston and Norbert Barth of Dallas; sister, Jerry Pivoda of Luling; brothers, Kenneth Brooks of Gonzales and Jimmie Brooks of McAllen; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Brooks, a former resident of Seguin, was born Aug. 5, 1918, in Kernes to Jimmie Neal and Mae Ross Brooks. She was preceded in death by her first husband Harry Appling and her second husband Eugene Barth.
Memorials may be given to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
