26 Sept 1912: Mrs. Elizabeth Beck, widow of the late John C. Beck, of this city, died at 4:20 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon at her home, 1012 Chestnut Street, a victim of paralysis. Three years ago she was stricken and became entirely helpless, depending upon the loving ministrations of a daughter, Mrs. Laura Boyer, who made here home with her. Mrs. Beck was 77 years old and a daughter of the late Joseph Brough, of Lebanon. She survived her husband, who served a term as recorder of deeds, five years, and leaves the following children: John C. Beck, Jr., Gilbert Beck, Monte C. Beck, Mrs. Florence Margut, Mrs. Clara Eckert, Mrs. Laura Boyer and Mrs. Jennie Mills, all of this city. A sister, Mrs. Angeline Bristow, of this city, also survives.
