Mrs. Ida Starratt Broward of 2703 Hendricks Ave., wife of Pulaski Broward, Sr. died early Monday morning at her residence, following an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Broward was the daughter of Henry w. and Louise Pollard Starratt, pioneer residents of Duval county. A native of Duval County, she had lived here all her life. Surviving besides her husband, are four sons, Emmet P. Broward of Jacksonville, Pulaski Broward , Jr. of New York City, Louis W. Broward of New York and Robert C. Broward of Atlanta; two daughters, Mrs. Lydia Walton and Mrs. Ida Boyd of Jacksonville; a brother, Robert Starratt of Tampa; two sisters, Mrs. R. W. Pinner and Mrs. Ruth Rousseau of Jacksonville; a grandson, Robert Emmett Broward and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Robert M. Naugle Chapel. The Rev. Stephen R. Harvin, pastor of the South Jacksonville Presbyterian church will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dr. E. W. Veal, _______, ________, Maurice Perkins, Jack Maloney, W. Daniel Byrd, Cowther Boyd and Harold D. Richardson. Interment will be in the family plot in Oaklawn Cemetery.
