Funeral services will be held Monday April 26, 1999 at 4PM in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church and burial to follow in Forest Park Cemetery.
Dr. Brown was preceded in death by is wife of 51 years, Doris Thomas Brown. He is survived by his loving children; son, Dr. W. Harold Brown; daughter, Susan Broyles (John); daughter, Pam Brown of Dallas, Tx; twin daughters, Ellen Deggs (Lee); Carolyn Mills (George) and seven grandchildren: Chad Blaylock, Reagan Blaylock, Brook Blaylock, George Mills, Clare Mills, Douglas and Allen Deggs; a brother Rex Brown of Marshall, TX.
A native of Ore City, TX, Dr. Brown was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose E. Brown. He attendedthe College of Marshall, the University of TX at Austin, and the U of T Medical School at Galveston. He acquired medical licenses in 1937, in both TX and LA. He served as Chief Resident Surgeon at Shreveport Charity Hospital from 1940-1946.
